      <image:caption>Born and raised in Seattle, WA Erika came to a career in fitness as an adult. While she lived an active lifestyle, it was when she began volunteering at her local YMCA in Toronto Canada that she discovered her passion for purposeful fitness and movement. She realized what a powerful agent of change fitness can be in shifting people's behavior (including her own) and its ability to help people be more present and engaged in their lives. Since then she has dedicated her life over the past 9 years to learning how to move and sharing that knowledge with others. As the owner of SWOLEMATES, Erika endeavors to provide the highest quality personal, semi-private or group training experience to each member. She enjoys leading classes for all levels of ability in SWOLEMATES Functional Fitness classes as well as working with her personal training clients towards achieving optimum health. She takes a compassionate and holistic approach to training, with a focus on the individual needs of each client. Erika is able to bring care, creativity, and levity into training while still pushing people to be surprised and empowered by that of which they are capable. She is here to show others how the mere act of trying can be a potent catalyst for change.
